LONDON, May 11 (Reuter)-THE DESTRUCTION OF 33 ENEMY AIRCRAFT Areas Quiet

DURING THE NIGHT WAS CONFIRMED BY AN AIR MINISTRY COMMUNIQUE WHICH ADMITS HIGH CASUALTIES AND CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE IN THE RAID ON LONDON.

The communique says: "London was attacked by enemy aircraft last night and bombed heavily for several hours. Reports show that the number of casualties is high and considerable damage was done.

CAIRO, May 11 (Reuter)-The particularly heavy attack on FORT AMBA ALAGI in Abyssinia by the E.AF. and RHODESIAN aircraft with many direct hits featured in Saturday night's R.A.F. Middle East communique which states:

"LIBYA: Heavy attacks by aircraft of the RAF. were made during the night of May 8-9 on Benghazi, Benina and Derna. "Four large fires were followed by ex- plosions caused at Derna. The cathedral mole was heavily bombed at Benghazi, but to Benina it was not possible to observe results of the attack.

Remarkable Feature Of Week's Air Fighting Was Activity Over Sea

LONDON, May 11 (Reuter)-During the week ending at dusk on May 8, 23 ENEMY AIRCRAFT were destroyed in the Mediterranean and the African theatres of war, for the loss of only 12 British aircraft.

A remarkable feature of the week's air fighting, was the activity over the sea, in which free Yugoslav aircraft participated. Several heavy attacks were delivered against enemy convoys in the course of which, one destroyer and five merchant vessels were hit, one destroyer and one mer- chantman being sunk.
