OPERATION COSTS Operation costs are greatly- 111- creased owing to the very much higher cost of bunkers. Insurance, repairs and stores; and also owing to heavier expenses incurred in the working of our vessels in India.
The value of our Fleet stands at: a very conservative figure, and it will be noted from the Reserves, and our financial position gener- ally, that we are in a good posl. tion to face unforseen contin-- gencies and also to consider the purchase of building of tonnage as and when this is possible.
I take this opportunity of plac ing on record our appreciation of the loyal and efficient services rendered by our Floating and: Shore Sta, and we are not an- mindful of what has to be con- tended with at sea and even in port today. A Bonus of 10 per cent.
