I have much satisfaction in calling the attention of His Excellency's Government to the remarkable result exhibited.

The increased expenditure is principally in Public Works, rendered necessary by the rising importance of the Colony.

The Decrease in items of Revenue is very small, while the net increase reaches the very large sum of $237,373.

I take this opportunity to include proceedings of an Extraordinary Board of Survey on the Colonial Stores, held on the 30th November last.

The regular Survey at the Commencement of the Financial Year was duly made, and the proceedings will be attached to the Treasurer's Annual Accounts, which I expect to receive shortly.

I have the honor to be, With the highest respect, Sir, Your most Obedient, Humble Servant,

The Governor.
