December 1855.
Ordnance Office, Hong Kong, 27th December 1855.
We have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 17th inst., stating that the Colonial Government have resumed the land lately in possession of the Navy. As this land is in the immediate vicinity of the West Point Cantonment, which we have received orders from the War Department to retain as a Military position for the defence of the Western part of the Harbour, we call your attention to our unanswered communication of 11 September 1865, requesting His Excellency to cause the boundaries of the Military Station, Hong Kong, to be defined.
