I am aware as to such Lot as the nature of their positions enables me to adopt, without causing manifest injury by curtailing what has been reclaimed already, or by carrying out the Road so far as to increase the expense to those parties who have reclaimed but small areas and now desirous of further extension.
The line of Road as laid down will enable me to dispose of two suitable Lots at Court and the Imprème Court as well as Lots in front of Post office, and four Lots immediately East of the Government Boat House. This arrangement is effected at the Queen's Road by reopening the old line of Road to the boundary of the Cantonment, forming the junction with the present coast road as shown.
The private boat house will necessarily require to be removed, and the site best adapted for its re-erection is on the West side of the lately erected Pier at the Plaza (not shown on plan). That portion of the Strand Road in front of these four Lots may be easily constructed and access given thereto temporarily by the Street West of the Government Boat House, so that in the event of delay or the non-formation of the remaining portion of the Strand Road, this may be made complete in itself and available for the Public.
The Government Boat House will require some alteration as boats can no longer be beached there. The pier should be extended and widened as shown on Plan, and the boats...
