KWANTI CUP MAIN EVENT SENIOR SHIELD WILDCATS, CANUCKETTES TAYLOR'S LONDON OLD TOM & DRY GIN. AT FANLING TOMORROW
.
BY "LAST QUARTER"
If the last race meeting held on Boxing Day under the auspices of the Fanling Hunt and Race Club is taken as a criterion, a record crowd should be on hand tomorrow afternoon for the February Meet- ing at Kwanti. There are six events on the card, with the "Kwanti Cup" as the main attraction. This race is confined to “D" Class Australian ponies over one mile and is one of the four flat rates in- cluded in the afternoon's programme. The Queensland Handicap is 31-3/4 mile steeplechase for Australian ponies, while the Shatau- kok Hurdle Race over 1-1/4 miles is reserved for China ponies.
The usual train service will be ally improving, judging from what available and racing enthusiasts I have seen of his eary morning making the trip can be assured or work at the Valley and I concede a pleasant afternoon's entertain. Close Tussle Expected In Possible Pennant Decider
BY R.O.Y.
Staging the battle that softball fans have been waiting for all season, the Wildcats clash with the Cannekettes in the opener of an excellent programme at the Kowloon Football Club tomorrow. Be- sides this possible decider of the Ladies' pennant, the Canadian Chi- nese meet the Filipinas for the doubtfal honoar of settling in the cellar berth after which the flashy Mohawks will be seen in action against the well balanced Indian outfit.
Despite the early hour set for and this virtue may well give them
the start of the game, fans are ex-
pected to turn out in full force for the Wildcats-Canuckettes struggle
as there is little love lost" between these contestants and the spoils are sufficient to make both squads give of their best
