LONDON, SEPT. 10 (REUTER)—THE ADMIRALTY STATES THAT THE TOTAL MERCANTILE LOSSES DUE TO ENEMY ACTION, DURING THE WEEK ENDED SEPT. 1-2, AMOUNTED TO 84,575 TONS.
This comprised of 11 British ships of 5,602 tons, five Allied; of 15,038 tons, and four neutral, of 13,517 tons.
While this loss was in excess of the average weekly losses since the commencement of hostilities, it is below the average for each week during the period of intensified activities which began in May 27.
