Dick Alves Wins By Big Margin From Sheriff

Thanks to the bright weather, a full programme of bowls matches was carried out last Saturday. There was nothing much in the First Division and the matches re- sulted as expected, but there was, one upset in the Second Division, when Kowloon Cricket Club comfortably beat a strong Recreio combination. ..
There were two upsets in the Third Division when Hongkong Electric Recreation Club went down badly to Hongkong Football Club and the Bowling Green, Club. at Austin Road managed to win, by a singleton, against Pri- son Officers Club.

The champions were at home and trounced the Bowl- -ing Green Club by 28' shots, winning on all three rinks. Dick Alves carried the highest mark against Sherriff. The first 13 heads gave Alves a lead of seven shots and the following two heads went to Sherriff but of the remaining six heads Alves chalked up 15 shots in five ends while. Sherriff only managed to score once to lose 29-12.
