THE STORM OVER THE EVACUATION SCANDAL, a frank exposure of which „was made in these columns exclusively yesterday, is rising to a veritable tempest. ・・・
More of Hongkong's aggrieved husband whose wives have furnished them with details of their experiences under the "supervision" of the Hongkong Government's re- presentatives, have come forward to confirm the reports published yesterday and to com- mend the efforts of the Hongkong Dally Press to seek an immediate remedy of this de- plorable situation.
Numerous telephone inquiries were made from this office throughout yesterday seeking Information as to whether there was an indication as to what the Government Intended to do in the face of the complaints that have been made and as to whether there was any chance of their wives being brought back to Hongkong.
