The preliminary hearing of the Sennet Freres Murder Cage, was concluded before Mr. R. Edwards at the Central Court on Saturday, the accused, Li Hung-ful, alfas Joseph L, 20, being committed to stand trial

Mr. J. Reynolds, Crown Counsel, assisted by Inspector J. O'Dono- yan, conducted the prosecution. Acting - Sub-Inspector R. Clark, in the witness-box. sald that he was on duty in Des Voeux Road Central, near Ped. der Street, when shortly after bp.m. ne heard a noise some- thing like a firecracker going off. He rushed to the scene and 32W European lying on the floor in the shop.
The defendant was also on the floor, being held by Mr. Drewery. He took the pistol from the de- fendant, who had a wound his left palm...

The late Mr. Brown was a pro- minent lawn bowler, having re- presented the Colony against Shanghai in 1928, 1932 and 1933. Ee was also runner-up in the Colony Open Singles Champion- ship in 1927.
The deceased had been with the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Company as a boiler-maker for 21 years, He was a member of the Kowloon -Bowling Green Club Kowloon Football Club and Kow- icon Dock Recreation Club,
He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrx A L G. East- man and Ma. Munro,
