The funeral took place at the Colonial Cemetery yesterday of Mrs. Eve Bilss, who died at the Queen Mary Hospital "yesterday morning after a prolonged illness. The Rev. J. R. Higgs officiated at the graveside. Deceased was an old resident of the Colony.

The deceased is survived by her husband Mr. A. W. Bliss, 4.500, Mr. A s. Bliss, of the Kowloon Docks. two daughters. Babs and Elleen, and two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Robin- son and Mrs. M. White.

The next inward Pan American Airways dying boat-the Honolulu' Clipper is due to arrive in Hong- kong on June 18 and return to Manila the following morning. Colony Water Storage

The total storage in Island re- servoira as at June 1, 1940, was 2,043.43 millions gallops as com- pared with 2,362.55 milion gallons last year, according to the water returns for the month of May. Tytam Tuk, storage was 1,120 mil- lions gallons" compared with 1,406 last year.

An estimated population of 950,- 000 consumed 539.06 million gallons as against 550.000 at an average consumption of 27,9 gallons per head per day.
