Sequel to a motor accident in the New Territories on July 24, 1938, which resulted in such serious injuries to Commissioned En- gineer W. A. Jones of the Royal Navy that he had to be invalided back to England, was an action brought in the Supreme Court yes- terday before His Honour the Chief Justice, Sir Atholl MacGregor, by the Commissioner for Executing the Office of Lord High Admiral of the United Kingdom, claiming £1.208.-15. d. from the Hongkeng and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd.

The claim was for pension payable to the injured officer. his passage home, pay and allowances and medical expenses.

It was alleged that the accident was caused through the neg- ligence of the defendants in falling to equip the car with proper, tyres..
