Stellar
names, high in Holly. wood's acting ranks, feature the new Warner Bros. picture, The Angels Wash Their Faces." which opens at the King's Theatre today. Featured in the production, which tells the story of a group of tene- ment slum. youngsters, are Ann Sheridan, the Dead End Kids. Ronald Reagan: Bonita Granville, Frankie Thomas, Henry O'Neill, Eduardo Ciannelli and others.
"The Angels Wash Their Faces" provides Miss Sheridan with her first sympathetic role, that of a social worker.
The Dead End Kids depart from the type role with which they have been identified and appear this time on the side of good el- tizenship.
Playing the male lead. is the handsome Ronald Reagan as the deputy district attorney..who aids the Dead End Kids in their efforts and with Ann Sheridan furnishes the romantic interest."
Based on an idea by Jonathon Finn, the screen play was written by Michael Fessier. Niven Busch and Robert Buckner. Ray Enright- directed
