The objectives included large oil storage tanks at Misburg, a few miles from Hanover, and important roads and bridges behind the enemy's lines at Gembloux. Givet, Dinant....... and Namur
The attack on the oil storage tanks began shortly before mid- night and before the last of the raiders left about two hours later. fires and explosions made evident the success of the bombardment.
