Mr. McCallum read a letter written by the defendants to plaintiffs' solicitors in December, 1938 saying that the goods were sold at the best price because they could not communicate with the plaintiffs, and asked why this was so if witness said he was in com- munication with the plaintiffs at the time, and in fact gave him delivery of goods in January. 1039.
