After ruling quiet, the market closed steady on United States enquiry.
NEW YORK, COTTON: Recent liquidation materially improved the market technically. Unwanted rains in the Central and Eastern sections and the possibilities of the subsidy programme were re- sponsible for today's advance.
NEW YORK RUBBER: Interest in the market continues to be broadening Factory and commission house demand met with pro- fit-taking and hedging on sharp upturns.
CHICAGO WHEAT; While it is our continued belief that the major trend of the market is still upward, it might be advisable to withhold new purchases until it becomes more evident that today's reaction has run its course. The Government's estimate for the Winter wheat crop will be due tomorrow. W
