Lappa Island Is Settled
Special to H. K. Daily Press The Portuguese authorities at Macao and the Japanese autho- rities have arrived at a settlement of the dispute over Lappa Island, according to reliable reports from the Portuguese Colony.
Lappa, which is a large island cpposite Macao, is Chinese terri- tory. Since the Japanese invasion of Chungshan, there has been dis- agreement arising

LONDON, April 26 (Reuter)-The Air Ministry declares that the German High Command communique, containing the alleka- tion that Great Britain had opened unrestricted aerial warfare on April 23, by attacking undefended places with no military objectives, is unfounded.
The attack on Sylt was directed against the Westerland Aerodrome which is an important military objective and one of. the most heavily defended places in German-occupied areas.
The Air Ministry adds that it will be remembered that on March 17, enemy aircraft' dropped bombs on Orkneys, causing casualdes among the civilian population.

It is learned authoritatively that in the raid on Stavanger early on Wednesday the British Bombers met the Messerschmidts for the first time at right, encountering several of them. It is also stated that a number of enemy planes on the ground famed up after the bombs were dropped from à idw level, and were seen to be st12 blazing after the raiders had left.
