Mr. R. B. Moller's Success
A new record was established and a previous record equalled on the opening day of the Hongkong Jockey Club's Annual Meeting on Saturday, when, in ideal weather, a large crowd witnessed some thrilling racing..
Both records were over the six furlongs course. Spicy- Light, winning the Maidens, in 1.22.4, improved, by a full second, the previous record held by Rose Elect for China ponies, while Far View equalled Courting Eve's track re- cord of 1.16,2 for Australian horses. The difference in time between the Australian and China pony over the six fur- longs is 6.2 secs.

The going was fairly hard and this no doubt contributed towards the fast times.
