BY "R.O.Y."

Local fans were entertained to an aventful programme of softball last Sunday, when several close and exciting matches drew capacity, crowds to both the Ladies' and. Men's games.

Although the Canadian Chinese girls nosed out the Wahoos

f a match which should virtually have decided this season's pennant winners, the championship now depends on the result of a protest lodged by the Wahoos, against a decision rendered by an umpire during the course of that "game..

Both squads were held score- less in the first two frames, but the Maple Leafs, after scoring once in the third,, jumped into a winning lead with two more, in the fourth, · the last of which was the sub- leet of the protest.
