laid before Lord Palmerston
of the 6th instant with its
enclosed Despatch from the Lieutenant Governor of Hong Kong, I am in
reply to request that
you
will acquaint Secretary Sir William Molesworth that His Lordship does
not find anything in the circumstance referred to in that Despatch
to alter the view which he has already
taken (as stated in my letter of the 5th instant) in regard
to the disposal
of the Land in question.
