Play started in a somewhat scrappy manner and it was quite some time before the players got warmed up. From quite early, however, it was evident that the Referees were rio, only too good for the pressmen, but also too fit.
The journalists, however, held their own and despite some wild. kicking and a few unintentional fouls. maintained a good share of the exchanges to finish s goalless first half.
The second half opened with the pressmen making a strong effort to score, but their wind failed them and before long the referees be-

Rest opened the scoring in the second half when Kencedy picked up and passed to Stevens just as he was being tackled by Bidwell, Stevens scored between the posts and added the goal points himself.
Clever Inter-passing between Stewart and Bidwell saw the Club score their first try through the fortner but Castleton falled to convert.
Stewart was also responsible for the Club's second try but and this time Henderson took the Hick but without success.
