CRICKET NOTES:
OLD RIVALS MEET TODAY ON SOOKUNPOO GROUND Indians Should Prove Too Good For Craigengower
(By "E. U. Ropes")
There should be plenty enough for followers of cricket this afternoon with two matches in the Senior Division of the Cricket League. The Army will be playing Kowloon Cricket Club while at Sookun poo the annual battle between the two old-time rivals, Craigengower Cricket Club and Indian Recreation Club, will be fought out on what ap-.. peared to me, yesterday afternoon, a rather fast wicket.
Dealing with the Army-Kowloon game first, this ought to produce a glut of runs as both teams appear to be stronger in batting than in bowling. The two regular Kowloon opening bowlers, N. D. Lloyd and Robert Lee do not seem to have struck form yet though Donald Anderson has been taking some wickets as first change bowler.
What Kowloon really needs;
is a fairly reliable left-hand
bowler, and as W. L. Meken- THRILLING

On the other hand the Indians have a number of fast scorers in their ranks so that if it comes to a race with the clock, they will stand a better chance of winning If they had to get the runs rather than the wickets.
