MEETINGS: EVERYBODY KEPT ON "QUI VIVE"

There was quite a good muster on the Stonecutters Range for the usual Spoon and Practice shoot on Saturday, over 50 members attending.

Once again they were rewarded by ideal shooting weather, there being no wind at all, and the Hghi was much better than usual at 600 yards.

Mr. J. A. Guard, of the D.B.C.... won the nett spoon for the aper- ture sights class, just beating Mr. A. Simpson, also of the D.R.C., by a higher score at 600 yards.

A LOCAL FOOTBALL RECORD WAS ESTABLISHED BY FOX yesterday while playing for the Army against the Navy in the first round of the Kotewall Cup at Caroline Hill yesterday, when he net- ted six goals, two of which were headed in.
