They include rugs, products. towels and cotton clothing- materials, surgical gauge and hos- pital requirements, woollen blan- kets and overcoats (large numbers of which are already being used" by the Chinese troops on active ser vice), khaki uniform materials, puttles, shoes, and even leather ammunition pouches and band grenade carriers.

The CIC. movement was started
In Aug. 1938 when millions of Chi-j nese were thrown out of work as a result of the Japanese, destruc- tion of the Chinese coastal indus- tries. China lost 80 per cent, of her textile industry and 70 ver cent. of her heavy industries which were all concentrated in her coastal cities.
