NEW YORK COTTON: After being firm on the strength of the foreign markets and the continued Trade demand, the market be- came dull and easier with evidence of increased hedge-selling. In- terest is now inclining to center on the legislative possibilities at the approaching session of Congress.

have jointly issued a proclamation abolishing all miscellaneous exor- bitant taxes upon fishermen and and boatmen in inland rivers
the coast 2.5 ΣΤΟΥΣ January 1.
The proclamation Instructs the local governments to report the deficit resulting from the abolition to the Provincial Department of Finance which will make appro priations to make it up.
Meanwhile, the Kwangtung Kro- vincial Bank is ordered to extend 6,604 6.422 credit loans to the fishermen and boatmen for productive purposes.
