Queen Works Sixteen Hours A Day
When the Queen proadcast to Brliish women lg all parts of the world on Armistice Night, they were listening to the voice of the busiest woman in the Empire. This broadcast rounded of for her a week of almost incessant war work.
Like the King, the Queca ruas had little leisure or time for her private life lately; 'as little as any other mother of two children that could be found.

A good deal has been said and heard recently of the amount of National Service work being done by women ambulance drivers who have done more than their eight- hour shifts and had no days, oft, of Land Army girls who get up at dawn, of members of the A.T.S. and A.F.S. who are required to live on their jobs, of volunteers who do National Service work in the spare time left them by their own full- time employmerit.
