Another objection appears to lie in the 15 Section of the 8 & 9 Vict. Ch. 89. which tour-

any validity of the Survey of the Vessel done at Hong Kong by W.L.K. Mitchell the Surveyor Mustered there - Certified by W. Charles Batten Hillier's chief Magistrate of the said Colony his being the proper person & address Vessel claiming
having British Registers there. That doubt will be Easily

dispelled by your Honours transmit the Register granted to me to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or Commander in Chief of that Colony with instructions to satisfy themselves that the Harbour Master was the proper Authority to make such Survey, that the Survey
was legal,
and that the
Certificate was genuine
and documents were genuine
mine - before the Register is delivered up to the Master of the Vessel. The Master's Bond is herewith.
