After ruling steady, the market eased in sympathy with cotton prices but rallied slightly on the issue of United States question- aires.

COTTON: There were heavy profit-taking and Southern selling against Loan repossessions which was met by Trade support on the scale down, demand being otherwise lacking.
RUBBER: There was a broader general demand and good fac- tory Interest in nearbys and actuals, while contracts were scarce. November consumption of 54,322 tons is above expectations and is causing an upward revision of the estimates for December. We would remain bullish, believing that the scarcity of supplies will soon be felt here.
