TOKYO, DEC. 8 (REUTER)--THE WAR MINISTRY'S ORDINARY AND EXTRAORDINARY DRAFT BUDGETS FOR THE COMING FINANCIAL YEAR TOTALLED YEN 6,000,000,000, WHICH THE FINANCE MINISTRY SLASHED TO YEN 4,400,000,000, IT IS REVEALED TODAY..
TT IS KNOWN THAT THE WAR MINISTRY IS PRESS- ING FOR THE RESTORATION OF A LARGE NUMBER OF THE SLASHED ITEMS!
The Nichi Nichi forecasts that the War Ministry's estimates will be compromised at around Yen 4,900,000,000. The Cabinet today takes up consideration of the draft budgetary estimates of all the Ministries except those of the Navy, War and Finance.
These estimates total Yen 1,770,000,000, representing an Increase of Yen 399,000,000, compared with the current year. The current budget totals Yen 8,874,000,000.
The Miyake Shimbun forecasts that next year's total will be around Yen 13,000,000,000.
According to the Finance Minis- try, bond issues, schedules for the present financial year, aggregate Yen 7,529,000,000, made up of Yen" 5,925,000,000 needed to balance the current budget. with Yen 1.704,- 000.000 brought forward from last year.
