and as he has served only nine years in the Colonial Treasury at Hong Kong, he would not be entitled to superannuation allowance, even if he had availed himself of the option which afforded him the benefit of subscribing to the superannuation fund.
Their Lordships are of opinion that under all the circumstances of the case a gratuity may properly be granted to him at the rate of two months' salary for every three years of his service.
