AJAX CREATES BIG UPSET AT

RACES ON. SATURDAY

HOLDS UP "DAILY DOUBLE" POOL

-

Dead Heat For Second Place In Thrilling Seventh Race

Race Finish

Creating the biggest upset in the Valley in recent times, Ajax won the Auld Reekie Handicap yesterday to pay a dividend of $212.70 and cause the "Daily Double" pool of $7,523 to be carried over to the next meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club, no one having secured the correct combination. #

This was not the only upset yesterday. Golden Cow and Chatterbox also caused the majority of punters some disappointment, but the racing was keen and exciting and spectators generally had a good time.
