Silver prices were unchanged yesterday, the quotations remain- ing at 23.1/2 for Ready and 23 9/10 for Forward. Silver, advices reported the market as being quietly steady with a small busi- ness done... American Silver was quoted at 343/4 for Spot.
The London/New York cross-rate
York was quoted at 402. New London was quoted at 394.1/4.
The market was steady,
COTTON: There was some, late liquidation for December on & thin market. New buying was less aggressive. The Spot' 'and textile markets are quiet but prices are steady.
RUBBER: Market was firm on the strength, of foreign markets and good factory mand for futures and actuals. The technical position is healthy.
WHEAT: The mill markets are steady and the cash market is firm. The weather in the South-West continues unfavourable. It La reported that there have been fair exports of Manitoba wheat at better prices.
