The market was steady.
COTTON: There was a good Trade demand, largely reflecting the recent encouraging cotton goods sales and the strength of the spot market. Active December liquidation was readily absorbed, "Our opinion remains unchanged.
RUBBER: The market was quiet but steady, Sentiment was mixed with regard to the increased tonnage for the first quarter of 1940 and the heavy amount of rubber afloat but there was ap- parently good support on" declines.
