IMPORTANT SHIP

The Hermelin, from our point of view, is a very important ship in- asmuch as she will be propelled by the largest Diesel engine. we have built. This engine, of the well- known Burmeister and Wain typë, will develop a maximum Brake Horse Power of 1700, and is the sixth Diesel engine we have manu- factured since in 1836 we obtained from Harland and Wolff the sub- licence for their construction.

The ship has been designed here and has the distinction of being the first one
