MARKET REVIEW
(FROM PAYNE & CO.)
COTTON: Continued general demand advanced prices easily and the market, was strong technically. A small amount of December liquidation was well" absorbed. Sentiment was more favourable on the belief that the existence of shipping difficulties is likely to en- courage the carrying of larger cotton reserves abroad.
WHEAT. Unfavourable weather news continued, but there was no new Incentive to stimulate any follow-up buying an advances. The ex- port market was quiet.
