OBJECTIONS TO
INCOME TAX
A statement, setting out variona objections to the proposed income tax legislation, has been submitted by the Select Committee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce to the three Chinese «representatives on the Legislative Council.
It is understood that a meeting will shortly be convened by the Hongkong General Chamber of Commerce to discuss the question. Members have for the past fort- night held private consultations amongst themselves, and thetr views, will be made public at the meeting.
