EASTERN SOCCER XI

Tsui Ah-fai To Appear

On November 18

Evidence of the strong efforts being made by Eastern to capture the football honours this year is further revealed in the fact that they are importing two Chinese champions from overseas to play for their first team this year.

One of these is a world Olympic player and would prove a formidable asset to the Eastern Club. He is TSUT AH-FAI and the famous All-China centre-half.

He is now in Manila. but has been successful in securing a Job with the Hongkong branch of the Wing On Bank. He is duc here early next month. and will in all probábljity make his first ap- pearance in local League football when Eastern meet the Club no Nov, 18.

HERE BEFORE

The other player being brought out by Eastern is YUEN WAN- TUNG. He is due here from Hal fong on Friday and will be seen in action against the Royal Navy on Sunday next. Yuen is not en- tirely unknown to Hongkong foot- ball fans as he was here with the Haltong team a few months ago. but then he was known as Nguyen van. Thong, his Tonkinese name.

Having been born and brought up in Tonkin, French Indo-China, Yuen speaks French and Tonkin- ese in addition to his native Chinese. He is a useful forward and will probably · replace -- Chan Yue Tin the Eastern left inner
