Emancipation Move

CHUNGKING, (By Mail)-Thirty-one Koreans, all prisoners of war in Chinese hands, were set free near 'Chungking in Septem- ber. Afterwards, they joined the Korean Volunteers' Corps, whose 300 members have been fighting on China's side under their own revolutionary leader, Kim Yat-yta.

The Koreans, including eight women, were captured in North China while working for the Japanese. After having spent several months under Chinese surveillance, they realized they should join hands with the Chinese in the latter's struggle against the Nipponese Invaders. They revealed their wish to the Chinese authoritjes, who sub- sequently decided to" relaaze them from confinement,
