to transmit to
you, for the
information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a
copy of
the Report from the Law Officers
of the Crown, to whom the
Report of the Emigration
Commissioners
was
referred and
I am to
state
that Lord Clarendon
concurs in
the recommendations of
the Emigration Commissioners,
and
that
he will suggest to the
Board of Trade to
bring a
Bill
into Parliament in conformity with
the draft of Regulations
prepared by
the Commissioners.
Lord
Clarendon wishes,
however, in the first instance,
to receive the opinion of
the
Emigration Commissioners upon the
suggestions of
the Law Officers.
