The whole-hearted and continued support and the loyal and unstinted service of the Chinese Com- munity in Hongkong to the British Crown were pledged at a meeting of Chinese Justices of the Peace held in the Chinese Merchants' Club on Aug. 28.

The Hon. Sir Robert Kotewall, who presided at the meeting, moved a resolution to this effect and a copy of this was addressed to the Hon. Mr. R. A. C. North, Colonial Secretary. for submission, to His Excellency the Governor
