LONDON, Aug. 18 (By Alr Mail) About 70 non-commissioned oficers. chiefly of infantry regi- ments, landed here to-night from ~ the Canadian Pacific liner Empress of Britain, having been brought from China' stations to assist in training the militia.

The men had crossed the United States by train to join the liner at Quebec. They are proceeding to various camps.

A few of them left to-night for camps near "here bat the majority were destiried for the North of Eng- land and are travelling to-morrow.
