LONDON, Aug. 17 (Reuter)-On the Stock Exchange › proût-taking a slightly was responsible for easier trend in the day's markets, though losses were only small and a firm undertone was maintained.
Hilver fell a farthing to 17 1/18 pence per ounce on the cessation of Indian buying, which latterly constituted the market's chief support. Wall Street was dull.
