Marking a new link in world communication, the -radio-telephone services between Hongkong, Manila and Chungking were formally inaugurated conjointly yesterday morning by their. Excellencies Sir Geoffry Northcote, Governor of Hongkong, Senor Manuel * Quezon, President of the Philippine Commonwealth, and Dr. H. H. Kung, President of the Executive Yuan of the National Government of China, who exchanged greetings on the occasion and wish the new services every success.

·Cable and Wireless and the Hongkong Telephone Companies are to be congratulated for their part in this achievement which enabled rapid development of communication with the Colony.
