A cabaret of elegant design and sumptuous appoint- ment, with a large, scientific sprung floor, will be added to the Colony's growing number of places of amuse- ment and diversion when the new building to be erected on the site formerly occupied by the tailoring firm of Tak Cheong, in Queen's Road Central diagonally. opposite the Queen's Theatre, is completed next sum-
mer.
According to present plans, the new cabaret will be situat- ed on the third floor. It will be the last word in luxury and comfort.
All necessary preliminary plans have now been completed for the new structure, and piling work on the cleared site will soon begin. .". The building, ten storeys high, will

be one of the tallest edifices in the clty. It is owned by Mr. Loke Yung-cheong, well-known oversea Chinese millionaire, and plans have been prepared by Messrs. Chau and Lee, architects.
