H.K.U. MATRICULATION EXAMINATION RESULTS

Results of the Matriculation examination of the University of Hongkong, held in Jurie, have been an. nounced by the University authorities.

The letters after a candidate's name indicate the Faculties or courses which the candidate is entitled to enter, according to the following table: (a) Eligible for admission to the Hongkong University in all Facul- ties. (b) Eligible for admission to Medical Faculty. (c) Eligible for admission to Engineering Faculty. (d), Eligible for admission to Art Faculty (Mathematical). (e) Eligible for admission to Arts Faculty (Non-Mathe- matical). (f) Eligible for admission to Arts Faculty (Chinese Course)."

Distinctions are mentioned by subjects. Altogether in Hongkong and Kowloon, 295 boys' and 77 girls sat for the examination and 136 boys and 42 girls passed. Of the hoys 278 were from schools and of these 129 passed, while of the girls 75 were from schools and of these 42 passed.
