The market was dull and inactive early in the morning, thus responding to advices received from London and New York. How- ever, some demand for "actuals” was in evidence.
Later in the session moderate trade-buying for more distant de- liveries on a narrow market caused prices to advance by 1/16 cent for January-March positions, but speculative, interest was negligible.
Closing tone was quiet

The market appeared to be weak at the opening with a lower adjustment of prices. There was general liquidation, although the $370 only adverse news was that exports were slow. Some speculative sell- ing was also in evidence, and the market continued to move lower, However, some buying for "nears" was noted.
