local Committee of the Victoria League, under the chair manship of the Colonial Secretary, investigates cases of students from Hongkong proceed.ng to England who wish to avail themselves of the aedistance"offered by the Lex- gue in London.

This assistance is gratultous, and takes the form of meeting students, finding quarters, advising educational matters and, as far as possible, helping in regard to ad- mission to the Universities.

Every Facility

The League also gives facilities for visiting places of "Interest and generally in bringing students into contact with English social lite. The League reports on the health of students and will, if so desired, act as guardians.

Students are furnished with per- sonal introductions to prominent people, and are given the oppor- sunity of visiting the Houses of Parliament, Hurlingham, and Ranelagh, besides attending, many large receptions, dances and par- tles. The Leagüe will furnish per- sonal reports on students under its care for the benent of parents and guardians.
