TOKYO, MAY 23 (REUTER)—JAPAN'S REJEC TION OF A MILITARY ALLIANCE WITH ITALY AND GERMANY IS EXPECTED IN OFFICIAL · CIRCLES HERE DESPITE THE RECOGNIZED STRENGTH OF THE JAPANESE PRO-ALLIANCE SECTION,
The Tokyo correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" writes that those Japanese who are working against an alliance and for Japan's return to the friendly fold of the democracies are compelled to do so behind the
scenes.
