I am informed that Mr Attorney General Sterling has been raised to the Bench in Leeward, thereby vacating his office in the Colony.
I have therefore to request that you will lay before His Excellency the Governor my most respectful application to be confirmed in the permanent tenure of the duties of which I have been discharging for the past year.
