The following is the result of the Thirty Roll Competition held by the Hongkong Rifle Association for 1939-40. The prizes will be presented on Sunday, May 14.

Both Lee Wai-tong, the skipper, and Mr. C. A. Goldenberg, manager, had talea to tell of misfortune on the field and off.
As already known from cables on the match, Lee was injured at the very
start of the Interport game, pulling a tendon; and re- maining a passenger for the rest of the tour. In addition, at one time og another Fung King-cheung. Lee Tin-sang and Lal Shlu-wing were nursing injuries.
Then, also in the Interport. A. V. Gosano playing his usual fine game, was unfortunate enough to break his glasses. which affected
his play for the rest of the garne. Repaired in time for the second match, he broke them again. in the third when he was drought down in the penalty area in such a way that many of the Hongkong players, and others, thought a penalty kick should have been awarded.
Regarding their welcome and the entertainment provided for them the local players had nothing but praise. The Chinese Consul-Gen- eral gave them a luncheon party.. the British members of the alde were made visiting members of the Manila Polo Club, and the Rizal Stadium and the Chinese Y.M.C.A. were also placed at the team's disposal.
Lee Wai-tong had one interesting comment to make on the tour, in the shape of a suggestion for the future: Tf we go to Manila again we must take at least 19 players and arrange to have three days' practice under the Philippines conditions" was his firm opinion.
